These exclusive Air Jordan IVs made their debut on actor Mark Wahlberg’s feet during the June 2018 opening of his restaurant, Wahlburger’s at the Mall of America. Initially crafted as a custom pair for Wahlberg, the unexpected public demand led to a collaboration release.
In Fall 2018, Nike produced 30 pairs of these sneakers for Wahlberg to gift to fortunate fans through a charity contest. The funds raised, in collaboration with the Entertainment Industry Foundation, aimed to support first responders and victims of the California wildfires. Winners not only received the unique sneakers but also had the chance to video chat with the actor.
Designed by Nike’s renowned Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan IV is among the most popular models in the Air Jordan lineup. Released in 1989, it marked the second model Tinker designed and the second to feature visible Air.
The original Air Jordan IV came in four colorways: white and cement grey, white black and red, off-white and military blue, and black and red (Bred). Its enduring popularity has led to numerous innovative collaborations over the years.
This particular Air Jordan IV features a green-based upper with black detailing, a removable Wahlburger’s logo on the tongue, and translucent eyelets and outsole.
